Ohio lets a business change its statutory agent with one form.
Here is what happens on each side of that filing.
Sign up and add your business
Tell us the entity name and Ohio charter number. We verify it against the Secretary of State record and show the appointment as Pending in your portal.
File the Statutory Agent Update
You file it with the Ohio Secretary of State naming Ohio Registered Statutory Agent LLC at 3416 Erhart Road, Litchfield, OH 44253. We give you the entries field by field. The state's filing fee is paid to the state.
We confirm and start receiving
When the state record shows us as your agent, your portal flips to Active and we begin accepting service. Documents your previous agent received before that date stay with them; we can't backfill history or accept service before the record changes.
If you ever leave us
Cancelling never ends your appointment on its own. We keep accepting and forwarding until your new agent is on record. If we ever need to resign, Ohio requires notice to you and to the state; our staff walk that process step by step, and you see each step in your portal.
