Apostille

A foreign bank, registry, or court will not accept a plain copy of your Ohio articles. It wants a certified copy with an apostille from the Ohio Secretary of State. We get the certified copy, submit it for the apostille, and ship the finished document to you or your counterpart abroad.

Who it's for: Businesses opening a foreign bank account, subsidiary, or contract that requires authenticated Ohio filings.

$300one-time

state certification and apostille fees included

  • Certified copy of your filed articles or certificate of good standing from the Ohio Secretary of State
  • Apostille issued by the Ohio Secretary of State
  • Tracked shipping to any address you name, domestic shipping included
  • Scan of the finished document uploaded to your portal
Order Apostille

Orders start with a short message so we can confirm the details and quote the total in writing. Existing clients can also request this from their portal.

How it goes

  1. Confirm the destination. Countries outside the Hague Convention need consular legalization instead; we tell you which applies.
  2. Approve and pay. $300 flat, state fees included. International express shipping is quoted separately.
  3. We obtain and authenticate. Certified copy first, then the apostille from the Secretary of State.
  4. We ship. Tracked, to whichever address you name.

What we need from you

  • Entity name as filed
  • Which document needs the apostille (articles, good standing, or another Ohio filing)
  • The destination country, so we can confirm an apostille is the right instrument
  • Shipping address for the original

Questions

Can you apostille a document that was not filed in Ohio?

No. An Ohio apostille authenticates Ohio public records and Ohio-notarized documents only. Documents from other states are apostilled by that state.
